Favorite LDS / Mormon Links

Here are some of my favorite LDS-related links:

  • LDS.org
    • Official website for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lots and lots of info here -  esp for members of the church
  • Mormon.org
    • Website for those not familiar with the church.
  • LDS FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
    • Good place to get answers to misc questions about the church
  • BYU Speeches
    • Great place to get speeches by mainly BYU or LDS-affiliated speakers
  • Encyclopedia of Mormonism
    • A joint product of Brigham Young University and Macmillan Publishing Company
  • FAIRLDS.org
    • The Foundation for Apologetic Information & Research (FAIR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing well-documented answers to criticisms of LDS (Mormon) doctrine, belief and practice. Excellent resource for helping understand and explain complex questions
  • General Authority Menu
    • Grandpa Bill’s G.A. (General Authority) pages
  • LDS Church Temples
    • An excellent collection of information about all the temples throughout the world
  • Google Map of all LDS Temples
    • A Google Maps mashup with all the temples plotted on world map. Pretty impressive to see in this fashion
  • LDS Media Talk
    • A blog by Computing employees of the church looking at the technology side of things
  • Meridian Magazine
    • An independent site that collects and distributes information that members of the church might find interesting.
  • Mormon Messages on Youtube
    • Youtube channel by the Church’s Public Relations department
  • MormonWiki
    • The free encyclopedia about Mormons from the perspective of faithful members
  • Religious Studies Center at BYU
    • The Religious Studies Center is the research arm of Religious Education at Brigham Young University.
  • Scriptural Index to the Latter-day Prophets
    • This index links from scriptures to the general conference talks and Journal of Discourses speeches that cite those scriptures.
  • BYU Studies
    • BYU Studies is an academic LDS journal that has been producing high-quality, peer-reviewed, scholarly LDS research since 1959.
  • Book of Mormon Charts
    • BYU Studies has digitized and updated the charts from Charting the Book of Mormon by John Welch. Excellent source of graphical aids to the BofM.
  • AskaMormon.com
    • Ideally if people have questions about the LDS / Mormon church they would go directly to their friends, LDS missionaries, or lds.org. However – for those that are uncomfortable taking that step there is a website where people can ask questions of mormons about a number of different topics. (I recommend this site mainly because I am the one managing all the content and answering most of the questions!). For members of the church I would encourage you to look at some of the questions and provide answers of your own.
